Spook-a-Rama Travel Soccer Tournament
- MNJYSA requires that only licensed drivers may operate
golf carts
at the tournament
- A. PLAYER EQUIPMENT
· No metal cleats are allowed on soccer shoes.
· When the color of the jersey is similar or identical, the designated
home team will change jerseys.
· No jewelry (including earrings) may be worn by any player.
· Players wearing hard casts are not allowed to play under any
circumstances. No exceptions will be permitted.
· Shin guards must be worn at all times by all players.
- B. TEAM COMPOSITION
· Rosters for U-11 through U-16 (full-sided) cannot exceed 18
players.
· Rosters for U-08 through U-10 (small-sided) cannot exceed 14
players.
· A maximum of three guest players is allowed per team.
· Guest players cannot participate as rostered players or guest
players for any other team in the tournament.
· All players and coaches must have a validated player·s
card for the current year.
· All players must have a medical release form at registration.
· No secondary passes are allowed.
- C. SUBSTITUTIONS
· Substitutions are unlimited at the following times:
· Either team may substitute on any teams throw-in
· Goal kick
· After a goal is scored
· Half-time
· At the beginning of an overtime period
· After an injury when the referee stops play, substitutions
may be made on a one-to-one basis for the injured player(s). The opposing
team may substitute one player if the injured player is substituted.
- D. LENGTH OF GAMES
· All games are 25-minute halves.
· Half-time breaks are only as long as it takes to switch sides.
· If a game starts late, it may be shortened by the referee to
finish at its scheduled time.
- E. DETERMINATION OF FLIGHT STANDINGS
· The following game point system will be used to determine flight
standings:
· Three points for a win
· One point for a tie
· Zero points for a loss
· A forfeit gets a 1-0 score and three points for the winning
team.
- F. DETERMINATION OF FLIGHT WINNERS
· Flight winners will be determined by the following, taken in
order:
· Most game points. ( 3 pts for a Win , 1 pt for a Tie )
The following Tie Breakers only apply if there is a tie in game
points
· First tie-breaker - Head to head win
· Second tie-breaker - most goals scored. ( max 6 points per
game )
· Third tie-breaker - corner kicks
· Fourth tie-breaker - Most "Shutout Wins"
If a team has the most game points, then tie breakers are not applied.
If there is a tie in game points, then the "head to head" tie breaker is applied. If the two teams played each other, and one of the teams won, that team will be awarded the tie breaking point.
If the "head to head" tie breaker does not apply, then the team with the most goals scored ( in both games) - max of 6 per game) will be awarded the tie breaker.
If there is still a tie, then the
team with the most corner
kicks will be awarded a additional point as the tie breaker.
If there is no difference in corner kicks, then the team with the most "shutout wins" will be awarded 1
additional point ( a 0 - 0 game is NOT a Shutout Win!)
If there is still a tie after both tie breakers, then both teams will
be awarded the award
( ie 1st or 2nd place)
Note:
If the tie is for 1st place, then the loser of the tie will be awarded
2nd place.
If both teams are awarded 1st place after all of the tie breakers, then
the next team in line will be awarded 2nd place.
In the event of a multi-way tie, determine the first winner of the the
tie, then start over with the remaining teams.
- G. FORFEITS
· Forfeit shall be declared if a team is not present and prepared
to play within ten minutes of the scheduled start time.
· A forfeit will yield a 1-0 score for game point consideration.
· To start a game a minimum of seven players is required for
full-sided teams and five players for small-sided teams.
- H. MISCELLANEOUS REGULATIONS
· Inclement weather. In case of severe weather that begins after
the start of play, tournament officials in consultation with referees
may reduce the length, postpone, conclude, reschedule, relocate or cancel
any game. Games terminated after the first half is completed will be
considered a finished game and the score will stand. Games terminated
during the first half will be considered a 1-1 tie regardless of the
current score.
· Protests. There are no protests. The tournament officials reserve
the right to decide all matters pertaining to the tournament and tournament
rules and regulations. The judgement of the Tournament Director(s) is
final.
· Ejection. Any player or coach who is red carded will be ineligible
for the next scheduled game. Referees will report the infraction to
the referee assignor and the Director of Site Operations.
· Gross Misconduct. Any severe or gross misconduct will be reported
to the Team's State sanctioning body for its review and possible action.
Gross or severe misconduct, as determined by the Tournament Director
can result in team's expulsion from the tournament. Referee assault
or abuse as determined by the Tournament Director WILL result in team
expulsion from the tournament. Any expulsion will result in forfeit
of trophies and fees.
· Coach's Responsibility. Each coach is responsible for the conduct
of the players, parents, and spectators on his/her team.
· Team Field Positions. The players and coaches of both teams
will take a position on the sideline opposite that of the spectators.
Only carded players and coaches will be allowed with teams on the sidelines.
· Disclaimer. The North Brunswick Soccer Club is not responsible
for any expenses incurred by any team in the event the tournament is
canceled in whole or part or in the event games are discontinued or
canceled, due to forfeit, inclement weather or adverse field conditions,
nor will any refunds be made.
